Senior Research Officer, BCCI

Ugyen Lham is the Senior Research Officer of BCCI for the GPP Bhutan. Her main responsibility is to assist the Project Manager in carrying out policy research analysis on sustainable development and green public procurement in Bhutan.

Ms. Lham runs Druk Associate, a development management consulting firm. She has 10 years of work experience in the Bhutan Development Bank Limited. Ugyen worked as a Program Officer in Liaison Office of Denmark in Bhutan and was responsible for Danish support to Royal Government of Bhutan for Good Governance and Education sectors. She has also carried out various consulting services for various international agencies and donors like The World Bank, ADB, IFC, UNDP, SNV, AusAID, Danida and the Royal Government of Bhutan.

Her core competencies are in the area of private sector development, particularly micro finance, banking, project appraisal and MSME. She has also worked in the area of governance, gender, rural development, and green growth. She has a lot of experience in carrying out surveys in Bhutan for the World Bank, IFC and ADB and so she is very aware of field situations and realities in the country.
